How to troubleshoot Cymru1 internet speed issues

Is your Wifi the reason for the issues?

The root cause of the performance issue may be your Wifi network and not the Cymru1 broadband internet connection.

You could rule out the Wifi network by simply connecting your PC directly into the Cymru1 broadband router using an ethernet cable and then run the Cymru1 Speed test again.

If the speed test result is better when you’re connected by an ethernet cable, this shows that the issue could be with the Wifi.

A few other things to investigate:

• Are the WiFi channels that you’re using for your wireless network network (SSID) overlapping with the neighbors?
• Is the Wifi signal from the internet router obstructed?
• Does the speed improve when you’re standing right infront of the Cymru1 wireless router?
