How to troubleshoot Firenet broadband speed issues

Is your wireless network the cause of the slowness?
The cause of the performance issue could be your Wi-Fi network and not the Firenet internet connection.
You can rule out the Wifi by connecting your computer directly into the Firenet broadband router using an ethernet cable and run the Firenet Speed test again.
If the performance is better when you’re connected via a network cable, this proves that the problem may be with the internal wireless network.
A number of things to look further into:
- Are the Wireless channels that you’re using for your Wifi network network (SSID) overlapping with your neighbors?
- Is your Wi-Fi network signal from the broadband router obstructed?
- Does the speed improve when you’re stood directly infront of the Firenet broadband router?
