How to troubleshoot LINPOP broadband speed problems
Before you begin troubleshooting the speed of your LINPOP internet connection, we suggest that you run a LINPOP Internet Speedtest to benchmark your current broadband speed.

Is your wireless network the cause of the slowness?
The cause of the performance problem could be your wireless as opposed to the LINPOP internet connection.
You could rule out the wireless network by connecting your computer directly to the LINPOP broadband router with an ethernet cable and then run the LINPOP Speed test again.
If the speed is better when you’re connected via an ethernet cable, this proves that the problem could be with the wireless.
A few other things to check:
- Are the WiFi channels that you’re using for your Wi-Fi network network (SSID) overlapping with your neighbours?
- Is the Wifi network signal from the wireless router obstructed?
- Does your speed improve when your are standing right infront of the LINPOP broadband router?
